The Sir William Siemens Medal is a highly prestigious prize awarded by Siemens to the country’s top science and technology students each year. Nominations are invited from just 14 Universities in the UK.
This year Andi Strain, a level three CSE Computer Science student, was nominated on the basis of his excellent all round performance at both level one and level two, where he achieved 90+% in his exams.
Andi attended the Sir William Siemens Medial ceremony at the Science Museum in London, accompanied by Professor Tim Ritchings who gave a presentation in support of Andi’s nomination. During the ceremony, Andi received his medal and a cheque from the Siemens CEO.
