You can get most travel information from the University of Salford website.

The easiest way to get to Salford University is by landing at Manchester Airport and then travel by train to Manchester (Piccadilly station). Hotels (to the exception of Ibis hotel in Charles street) are all at a walking distance from the train station. You can then take a bus from Piccadilly bus station (different from the train station) and stop at Salford University bus stop on Crescent road or a train from Piccadilly train station or Oxford road train station, depending on which hotel you are staying in, and stop at Salford Crescent (Salford University) train station. A taxi should not cost more then 5 pounds from the city centre to Salford University.

If you are staying at the university accommodation you may consider taking a train directly to Salford University (Salford Crescent station). Please check times on arrival.

European participants may prefer to use EasyJet budget airline and land at Liverpool Airport. You can get tickets for less then 50 Euros during the conference period. Manchester is at one hour bus/train from Manchester and the bus/train journey costs around 10 pounds. You need to take a bus from Liverpool airport (Bus 81A, there is a bus every 20 minutes) to Hunts cross train station. From there you take a train to Manchester Piccadilly. There is a train every half an hour.

You can also rent a car through EasyCar from Liverpool Airport.
