You can get most travel information from the

The easiest way to get to Salford University is by
landing at Manchester Airport and then travel by train to Manchester
(Piccadilly station). Hotels (to the exception of Ibis hotel in Charles
street) are all at a walking distance from the train station. You can then
take a bus from Piccadilly bus station (different from the train station) and
stop at Salford University bus stop on Crescent road or a train from
Piccadilly train station or Oxford road train station, depending on which
hotel you are staying in, and stop at Salford Crescent (Salford University)
train station. A taxi should not cost more then 5 pounds from the city
centre to Salford University.
If you are staying at the university accommodation you may
consider taking a train directly to Salford University (Salford Crescent
station). Please check times on arrival.
European participants may prefer to use
EasyJet budget airline and land at
Liverpool Airport.
You can get tickets for less then 50 Euros during the conference period.
Manchester is at one hour bus/train from Manchester and the bus/train journey
costs around 10 pounds. You need to take a bus from Liverpool airport (Bus
81A, there is a bus every 20 minutes) to Hunts cross train station. From there
you take a train to Manchester Piccadilly. There is a train every half an
hour.
