I chose Physics as I had recently been made redundant and had worked in the optical trade. I like the campus – even though it is fairly spread out at times. The Physics Department is quite modern compared to other places that I visited – I was quite surprised, actually.
I'm pretty happy with Physics. I believe that science is really important to all sorts of different areas nowadays. For instance, if you wanted to be a journalist and were working on magazines (that were geared towards computers or IT) then having a science background would be very important.
