Graeme Greaves

Graeme is currently investigating the retention of noble gases within solids at high pressure and temperature relating to planetary science, to help understand the formation and evolution of the Earth and related planets.

He is performing transmission electron microscopy of samples recovered from a laser-heated diamond anvil cell, which are prepared with the focussed-ion-beam system available at Salford.

The work is carried out in collaboration with the Oxford Earth Sciences Department.
