Graeme Greaves

Graeme is currently investigating the retention of noble gases within solids at high pressure and temperature relating to planetary science, to help understand the formation and evolution of the Earth and related planets. Graeme is performing transmission electron microscopy of samples recovered from a laser-heated diamond anvil cell (LHDAC), which are prepared with the FIB system available at Salford.
This work is carried out as part of a PhD under Prof S E Donnelly and is in collaboration with A P Jephcoat at Oxford Earth Sciences Department.
