Steering Committee
Membership
The steering group will be made up of people from a diverse number of backgrounds and experiences, including AV engineering companies, broadcast organisations, academia, professional bodies and institutes, and individual engineers. The membership is designed to compliment and contribute to the aims of the research project.
The Role
The steering group committee plays a key role in providing advice, knowledge and guidance that directs the focus and standards of the research project. Committee members will be able to contribute their views and suggestions with regard to the data collation and project outputs. Each meeting will allow members to review the delivery plan of the project and to ensure that the objectives are met.
The Requirements
Committee members will be invited to attend no more than three meetings with the University, over the duration of the research project, which is expected to conclude in December 2007. At least one of these meetings will take the form of the dissemination event.
The Benefits
Steering group members will receive material to read in advance of meetings and will also receive invitations to attend events and workshops. All members will have the opportunity to contribute directly to a project that aims to influence and improve the working practices of companies in the audio-video engineering sector in the North West.
