WEWIN : Women in North West Engineering

Aims & Objectives

The project's main aims and objectives are:

  • To examine, analyse and evaluate the working practices and organisational culture in the engineering industry.
  • To improve the participation (recruitment, retention and progression) of females in a non-stereotypical role.
  • To recommend policies and practices to companies and organisations across the North West which promote the inclusion of females in the engineering industry.
  • To ensure that the engineering industry is more accessible to females across the North West.
  • To disseminate findings to employers and professional bodies by means of disseminations events and workshops.
